Thanks for dropping by! My name is Natasha Ng, and today I just wanted to share with you all a neat little tidbit I’ve discovered that will open a whole new world to what you thought Scandinavian style furniture was.
This whole saga started when I moved into my first tiny apartment. I was looking for space-saving furniture that would let me stuff all my belongings within my small 500 square foot apartment.
I loved the independence of owning my own space, thus began the search for modern designer furniture near me. I figured that I’d head over to IKEA to look for furniture that would suit a modern interior design style feel I was going for.
Now, years and years later, I’ve outgrown my IKEA furniture. They did their job well, but I’ve taken a huge liking to more modern designer living room furniture.
But one thing stayed firm, and that was the price I was willing to pay.
And that’s okay!
Because IKEA isn’t the only place you can find awesome modern Scandinavian style designer furniture! Yes, I’m talking about CUURA!
I came across CUURA about 3 months ago while scrolling Instagram and their designs were just wow! Literally, any design you could think of for your furniture, they had it. Contemporary style furniture, Scandinavian style furniture, and even Muji style furniture.
But the most amazing thing was their prices. A 2-seater sofa for less than RM2k?? SIGN ME UP STAT. The CUURA team was super friendly and helpful when I went to meet them. They had a small office at Ativo Suites at Bandar Sri Damansara. There, they prepared a proposal for me with all the necessary furniture my home would need, and it was all so beautiful and sophisticated-looking!
That was when I realised that IKEA wasn’t really all that cheap, and that I was paying for overly-simplistic designs that failed to justify the price. At CUURA, a sofa bed with storage underneath for around RM2k. What a steal!
